Regions - The Veil

The Veil (Blue) is an area with a curiously low saturation of resources for how close to the Core it is. Due to this lack of resources, there hasn't been much colonization in this area; and it is mostly only of interest to explorers, researchers, and the relatively new profession of astro-archaeology. Unnatural structures have been discovered in more than one system in this region in only the last few decades, which has sparked a very recent wave of research expeditions.

The Veil may be home to deep space pirates, who settled here specifically because it was so uninteresting and off the beaten path.
